overlooking the grand canal, near the main terminals, at only 15 minutes from the celebrated rialto bridge, the continental offers the privileges of never ended traditions, personally assured from the third generation hotel owners. thanks to wise restoration the original atmosphere of the xiv century palace, that was one of the administrative departments of the spanish embassy at the time of the venetian republic serenissima , remains intact. the continental has 93 recently renovated rooms all with air conditioning with individual control, private bath, hair dryer, telephone, safe, colour tv with remote control and a 16 channel satellite system. the hotel also has a private landing stage and terrace overlooking the grand canal. the restaurant with two evocative terraces on the grand canal is able to offer an international cuisine or traditional dishes in which the pleasure of the taste has been maintained without any compromise. additional facilities winter heated terrace. credit card provided at the time of booking is only as guarantee, client will be charged on departure. this property was built in 1480 renovated in 1998

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst traveling Europe. Was better than most hotels we'd stayed in. Clean bathroom and comfy bed. Would stay here again.

Great location and not far from the station. It is away from the main tourist areas and away from the crowds. The room was small but fine, no shower curtain in the bathroom. Wouldn't recommend the restaurtant, however many really nice restaurants within walking distance. Staff were friendly too.

We had a really good stay at the Continental Hotel... The room was spacious and were lucky enough to have a fantastic view of the canal. Breakfast was decent, the usual pastries, cheeses and meats which went down well with a view over the Grand Canal.
We'll return...

Good food and helpful service

Stayed here for a week. Good sized rooms and recently redecorated. Fixtures were all good quality, decent shower etc.
The food was good at breakfast and we ate at the restaurant 3 times.
The staff at the main desk were very helpful and gave us lots of Venice tips.
Top hotel for its price range. Thanks
